Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S
This Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S was refined through a series of subtle, purposeful modifications. The aim was to give the motorcycle a sportier and more compact character while respecting the original Moto Guzzi design language. Every change was made to create a cleaner, more cohesive whole, without compromising usability, comfort, or technical integrity.
Design Decisions
The original adaptive aerodynamics and adjustable windscreen made the front of the motorcycle feel visually heavy. I replaced them with a more refined front cover and recessed the TFT display deeper into the fairing. This creates a cleaner and more cohesive front end while keeping the information clearly visible to the rider.
At the rear, I removed the passenger seat, luggage brackets, and grab handles. A custom tail cover now follows the natural lines of the motorcycle, creating a more compact and purposeful silhouette.
Technical Integrity
The changes were designed to improve the motorcycle’s character without compromising its function. The additional air intakes create a more purposeful side profile while maintaining a clear flow of air toward the engine.
The handlebar position was slightly lowered and the controls remain easy to access. The exhaust system was redesigned while retaining the catalytic converter, the OEM-style end cap, and a legal sound level.
Every modification was considered alongside reliability, usability, and future maintenance. The motorcycle should not only look coherent, it should remain technically sound and enjoyable to ride.
The Finished Result
The finished motorcycle has a more compact and sportier character, while still feeling unmistakably like a Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S. The modifications are deliberately restrained and work together as one cohesive design rather than drawing attention to themselves individually.
It remains practical and enjoyable to ride, with clear controls, sound technical function, and a finish that feels close to an original factory concept. The result is not a collection of added parts, but a motorcycle shaped by one consistent idea.
